Md Aamir Badr is an accomplished media professional with more than fifteen years of experience in Radio, Television, and Public Relations in Govt. Media Houses. He currently works as a Producer-I at Instructional Media Centre, Maulana Azad National Urdu University and has been associated with the institution since June 2017.

Mr. Badr holds a Bachelor's degree in Account (H) from Lalit Narayan Mithila University in Darbhanga, Bihar, and a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Dept. of MCJ, MANUU, Hyderabad. He also earned an M.Phil in Translation Studies in 2013 after submitting his research work on "Journalistic Translation and contribution of UNI Urdu." In 2012, he cleared the National Eligibility Test in Mass Communication & Journalism.

Mr. Badr's professional journey started with his work as an RJ and Compere in All India Radio, Darbhanga, from 2004-2008. He later worked as a News Reader (Urdu) in DD Saptagiri, Hyderabad, between 2010-12 and as a Producer in E tv Urdu in 2011. He joined Indian Information Service (Gr-B) after cracking an all India competition and was posted in the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of I&B, Govt. of India (Urdu Unit) for a year. Later, he got another posting to DD News, Delhi, in 2014, where he worked on different assignments and positions such as News Editor (Hindi), In-charge DD News Urdu Desk, and In-charge RNU, Hisar, Haryana (News Head) etc.

During his tenure in DD News, Mr. Badr had the opportunity to travel with the Hon'ble President of India's convoy to different places in India to cover the Hon'ble President's events. He was also a team member that organised the National Photography Award Ceremony and workshop on still photography and videography organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI.

Apart from his job, Mr. Badr has attended and passed several certification programs, including the Vani Certificate Programme by Prasar Bharati and the Communication and Journalism Course (for IIS Probationers) by Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. In addition, he was offered an International Scholarship and was shortlisted for a one-year program in Turkish Language and Media in 2012.

Mr. Badr's passion for creative content production has led him to produce dozens of educational programs, short informative videos, and documentaries in Urdu, catering to the needs of Urdu-speaking populations worldwide. His commitment to quality and creativity is evident in his work, as many of his short films were shortlisted for screening in the competitive category for many National and International Film Festivals, including a festival in Siliguri (2019), organised by the Film Federation of India (an apex body of Film in India).

Mr. Md Aamir Badr is currently pursuing a PhD (part time) in Mass Communication and his research area includes Culture, Ethnicity, Media, TV, Entertainment, Minorities and News Media. He has published many articles and research papers in reputed journals and presented research papers in seminars and conferences.
He has Scripted and performed more than one hundred fifty live & phone-in radio programs at AIR Darbhanga. He also qualified an audition for Drama artists at AIR Darbhanga, Bihar in 2008.
